BRISCA F1 WORLD FINAl

On Saturday 13th September, the BriSCA F1 World Final took place at King’s Lynn Raceway, with Jack France lining up on row 11 of the grid, as one of the 36 drivers who qualified for the race.

Full-contact stock car action was seen throughout the race, bringing out the yellow flags. Jack started off by making good progress, moving up 17 places into 5th. However, a battle in the race caused a puncture to the #216 car.

WORLD MASTER TROPHY HEAT WIN

After the World Final, the BriSCA F1 scene moved to Mildenhall for the World Masters Trophy.

Heat 1 saw some great overtaking action from Jack, with him securing the race lead through to the chequered flag.

ODSAL STADIUM, BRADFORD

On 20th September, the team headed to Odsal Stadium in Bradford.

A strong drive in torrential rain conditions saw the #216 car take a 6th place finish. However, with the continuation of the less-than-favourable weather conditions, the team made the decision to withdraw, avoiding a potential water damage risk to the engine.

SCUNTHORPE

The BriSCA F1 calendar meant Scunthorpe was up next on 28th September.

After an 8th place finish in the heat, Jack secured a place in the final, where he went on to take a further 8th place, scoring valuable points.

kING’S LYNN

On 11th October, the team headed to King’s Lynn. Despite not recording a finish in the heats, jack bounced back with a 3rd place finish in the Consolation and a 7th in the Grand National.

ODSAL STADIUM, BRADFORD

The home circuit of Odsal Stadium was up next on 26th October.

Heat 1 got underway but some experimental car settings meant the #216 car was struggling for front-end grip. Despite this, an 8th place finish was secured.

With the settings changed in time for Heat 2, the car was back on the pace, coming home in 2nd.

A misfire ruled him out of contention for the Final, but a strong drive in the Grand National led to a further 2nd place finish.

Jack France, BriSCA F1 Driver:

“We had some ups and downs, but two podium finishes is a good result overall.”
